One shot, one kill... Carter didn't make it.
Final Score:
Germans 42
Americans 3
This was a very fun game and extremely story driven. It just seemed like a good idea to "bull-rush" the exit sector but it was a fatal mistake. Plus leading the charge with the American squad leader was foolish since loosing him early severely hindered the American squad choices for the remainder of the game. I will proceed with more caution next time.

Turn 6 (Run Carter Run!)
Private Carter is the last man standing and makes a dash for the exit sector but the German soldiers are not going to make it easy as they are in full pursuit.
Image after Turn 6; Private Carter needs to exit the board off the road which is just south of his current position. But there are 2 German soldiers in close pursuit.

Turn 5 (Things get even worse)
The Germans keep coming! With Private Farthing wounded the Germans move in and capture him. Private Carter now makes a break for the exit sector... it's a Hail Mary move.

Turn 4 (FALL BACK!)
With the death of Sergeant Harrison the Americans decide to fall back. The Germans see the fleeing American and begin to pursue them. More gunfire erupts, Private Fields tries to provide cover fire for the retreat but is killed by advancing German forces. Private Farthing is also wounded in the gun battle while falling back. Private Carter is attempting to get behind the enemy to inflict some damage, but it seems like a long shot plan at this stage.
Turn 3 (Gun Fire Erupts!)
Open fire! Both sides begin to open fire on the surprised enemy forces! Sergeant Harrison doesn't have time to respond before he is spotted and quickly gunned down. The Americans return fire killing one German soldier.

Turn 1
I recently purchased Sergeants Miniatures Game and thought I would play a sample game and see how it went. The board is setup to play the second scenario "Breakfast" (I believe). The US player has 12 VP to spend on troops and I was only able to outfit a team of 4 soldiers leaving 3 VP on the table. The German player was able to field a full team of 5 soldiers. Order cards were selected;
Americans were on patrol; enter the map from the red sector and exit the blue sector (shown below).
The Germans orders were to capture or kill more than half the American forces.
Here is an image at the end of turn 1;
American forces entered the board and headed towards the objective.
Strange no German forces are present.
